Never say never - Walsingham Planning highlight that changing policy can bring rewards

Walsingham Planning were able to secure planning permission almost 4 years after an almost identical scheme was refused when the reluctant Borough involved were persuaded that policy had moved on.

In the original application the Borough were unwilling to accept the Walsingham Planning case that extending an existing hotel located outside of the town centre was not a major policy issue. With many other cases to pursue, the client was disinclined to pursue an appeal to force the point at that time.

Four years later there had been a shift in Government policy and Walsingham Planning were alert to this and persuaded the client to make another application.

Supported by a substantial application package to drive home the point regarding changed policy, Walsingham Planning were able to successfully achieve permission on a much prized site.
