Mixed Use Development

 

Walsingham Planning is now developing a reputation in achieving planning permission for large scale redevelopment with mixed use schemes.

 

Large scale projects in single use are now the exception as a mixture of uses are recognised to bring a wide range of social, economic and sustainability benefits. Such projects might be on constrained urban or city centre sites or might be single ownership brownfield sites but in either event the benefits of a mixture of uses is manifest.

 

A mixed use scheme might start with a wide ranging outline permission followed by a series of reserved matters applications which may be made either by the original applicant or by individual purchaser/occupiers for their own special requirements, or it might benefit from a fully detailed permission from the outset by one of the prospective occupiers.
