Walsingham Planning secures transformation from Wasteland to Housing - Residential Development Secured on Former Scrapyard Site

 

Royal Canal WorksActing for a private landowner, Walsingham Planning secured outline planning permission for 32 residential properties to transform a narrow strip of wasteland adjacent to the Bridgewater Canal in Stretford, Manchester.

 

Walsingham Planning Director Mark Krassowski advised the landowner from the outset of the project, initially dealing with the then housing restraint policies of Trafford Borough Council, and then advising on the form and quantity of development.

 

Royal Canal WorksWalsingham Planning co-ordinated the professional team of architect, transport, contaminated land, drainage, acoustic and ecology consultants in order to ensure that all technical issues were adequately addressed to establish the principle of residential development on the heavily constrained site.

 

 

The Practice also participated in a series of public consultation events in respect of the proposals, and produced the supporting Planning and Design and Access Statements necessary to accompany the planning application.
