Walsingham Planning provides an on going service to the Lawn Tennis Association in which advice is given to tennis clubs which require assistance with planning issues. This connection keeps Walsingham Planning in day to day contact with sporting interests and led to the instructions by Holcombe Brook Club, See link below, by which a new planning permission has been granted for new tennis facilities in the Green Belt.

We acted for David Lloyd Leisure in securing planning permission for major new clubs across the country including Oxford, Nottingham, Preston, Epsom and Worthing.

We have also acted for 2 major players in the provision of 5 a side football obtaining permission for new facilities in Newport, Reading, Gillingham, Guildford, Southend, Bury, and Edinburgh.

These have given Walsingham Planning a wide range of expertise in dealing with sports proposals and the complications which arise, e.g. negotiating with Sport England, lighting for hard surface playing areas.

We have also secured planning approval for new golf proposals in various locations, developing expertise in the landscape, ecology and other issues that these extensive proposals can raise.
